Literature Text

I bought a Chinese and thought of you,
Your silly blonde hair, and your silly scottish ways.
I bought a Sweet 'n' Sour Chip and thought of you,
Thought of you and all those days
When I ate your Chinese;
Left you to starve, on the cold, lonely bus to Dromore
You and I don't share take-aways anymore.

Perhaps because we haven't met in some time?
Perhaps it's because I stabbed you with a plastic fork last we dined?
Whatever the reason, one thing's for sure
We don't share Chineses anymore.

I hear, 'pon the grapevine, that you drink Tennants beer,
Last I drunk it, it tasted of piss.
Why, oh why, my young Scottish dear
Must you taunt and abuse me by drinking this?
You and I never get drunk anymore,
Though saying that, we never did,
You and I don't share carry-outs anymore.

Perhaps because we haven't met in some time?
Perhaps it's because I stabbed you with a plastic fork last we dined?
Whatever the reason, one thing's for sure
We don't share Chineses anymore.

You shall drink the finest of wines,
And the cheapest of ciders shall I
Think of all the time we need to make up,
Drinking, before we die.
You and I never do anything anymore,
Perhaps because I keep having affairs with Chelsea,
For which I am very, very sorry.

Perhaps because we haven't met in some time?
Perhaps it's because I stabbed you with a plastic fork last we dined?
Whatever the reason, one thing's for sure
We don't share Chineses anymore.
This is a song! I wrote the lyrics (great, are they not) and Alex wrote some music. It's actually really good though - it's all acoustic-ey and sad. T'is v. good. And it only took us like 10 minutes to write - via the net. How great are we?
